 Route 66 Signs While in Seligman, it was obvious that the town was once part of this historical street. Practically every shop, hotel or restraraunt had Route 66 signs and a few shops were dedicated to the street, offering souvenirs and such. Some more than others. When driving west out of Seligman, we got the feeling we expected to see on the Route 66. A long stretch of highway with a feeling of freedom and vastness. >>> More

 The Grand Canyon 1- Reaching the Grand Canyon from Flagstaff Flagstaff is close to the meteor crater, the legendary Route 66 and the Grand Canyon. It is also a middle sized city with historical town center. Sounds of trains in the background gave it a special old time flair, as well. The climate in Flagstaff even in the summer was mild and comfortable. >>> More |

The landscape is so overwhelming and each step along the trail brings new impressions. A visitor experiences a new feeling of dimension and any problems one is having seem so small at the moment. The Grand Canyon 4 - Leaving the Bright Angel Trailhead While heading back to the car, there were these red cabins. They appeared to be quaint and seemed to be very popular amongst the tourists. These can be rented out and are not too far from the south rim. In the area are other hotels overlooking the canyons and also shops for the tourists in the area. >>> More
