Deer

If you are fortunate to have wildlife parks in your area, they are really worth visiting. It is a great way to observe the animals a little closer than usual in their natural habitat. Unless otherwise indicated, these images were made at a wildlife park in Eekholt, Germany. The park covers a vast area so the animals have plenty of space to roam and hide and the only animals you will find there are those native to the area.

Deer 1

Deer are such beautiful and majestic animals! Here in the image above, this stag kept watch over his lovely group of ladies.

Nothing like letting the rivals know who is boss.

When the stag calls, all in his group come running.

Deer 2
It is amazing listening to the loud bellows of the red deer stag. Such impressive vocals from this beautiful boy.

When driving through the state of New York, there is a scenic route between New York City and Niagara Falls and along the way you will find the Ashokan Reservoir. There is a bridge crossing the water where walkers, joggers and bikers can enjoy the nature. If you are lucky you can see a natural resident of the area, like this precious looking deer.

Deer 3
This friendly doe at a deer park came to the fence and seemed to enjoy being petted.

Deer 8
This young deer has such a gentle looking face.

Deer 10
Siesta time. It gets tiring when you have to be on your guard all day.

Deer 7
While out biking, a doe was standing along the trail. She was a sweet animal and didn't even seem afraid. She held her position and looked curious for a couple of minutes and then continued to her destination.

Deer 9
Take a look into my beautiful eye.
